My parents emigrated to the USA when I was 3 years old. We lived in Lucas County, Sylvania, Ohio, and my first introduction to American railroading was an S-gauge American Flyer New York Central pacific and train, plus a talking station!

We returned to England and years later in the early 1980s I was in a model railroad store in London with a friend Will Andrew and was looking at a book – ‘The Erie Lackawanna Story’ by Paul Carleton. ‘Nobody models the Erie Lackawanna’, said the store owner. I needed no further encouragement, and that was the start of my fascination with American railroading - in particular the EL, Erie and Lackawanna - and later the Reading & Lehigh Valley too!

This USA range has developed as a result of building American layouts in N and HO scales.
